About!
Hello! My name is Andy or Aisling. I am in my early twenties and live in the American state of Utah, but I'm actually from New England. My time zone is UTC-7 (AKA MST). I attend college full time; currently, I am an applied communications major in the process of getting a BS. My Irish heritage is very important to me, as I was raised very much in the diaspora. You can often find me scrolling Tumblr, playing Genshin Impact, or cooking for my partner.
I identify as queer in various capacities; I use the terms bigender, pansexual, and more terms to describe myself. I specifically do not identify as transgender or nonbinary, though. I use she/her/herself & he/him/himself pronouns exclusively.
My brain & body work differently to most people. Most relevant in my day to day include:
- ○ Autism (Level One)
- ○ (Probable) Marfanoids
- ○ Complex PTSD
- ○ Visual Impairment
- ○ C/PF-DID
- ○ Hard-of-Hearing
We often have a ton of projects that we're juggling at the same time. Right now I am learning HTML (gestures around to this webpage), system mapping, collating resources about organized abuse & DID, working with fellow leftists in my area, and collecting recipes. And that's only the tip of my iceberg!
The title of this blog is a quote from Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita, a book that provided us with a lot of closure. Specifically, it is from this poem that Humbert Humbert writes. It's a book that is broadly misunderstood, just like us.
